The rite...after the movie thoughts

Well I am still sitting in my chair at the theatre, I felt compelled to update my thoughts on the movie. Well I have to say that Sir Anthony Hopkins continues to show us that he is one of the greatest actors of our time. The exorcist genre of movies is a dark place not because of its subject mtter but due to most of the movies made on the subject all being more or less made like shit. They all follow the same mold and loose you during the movie.
This take on an old theme was done in a way that keeps true to the great movies of old. The camera angles were done in a way that added depth and suspense to the shots, as well as theuseof minor visual cues that set the tone or give away clues to the story.
The faithless priest was done right enough but the character of the female journalist could have been omitted completely. She brought no real substance to the movie other than a way to show that the priest has lost his way.
I enjoyed the movie and without giving too much away, I think that you should too!
Now I must go do some praying before bed as only few movies can instill that fear in me....a reminder fear I like to call...reminding you that God is great and dont trust whitey!
